God wants you to prosper

When it comes to receiving from God, ignorance is the greatest enemy that people have.
Hosea 4.6 tells us that much. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Ignorance will keep you from living the life which God designed for you. It reduces living to a mere existence.
Jesus Christ came into this world with one intention and that is so that every human being can live life to fullest. John 10.10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
According to this scripture, it is Satan who is the thief, who comes to steal and kill and destroy. He is the one doing all he can to keep us from the life God has for us and ignorance is the main tool with which he accomplishes this.
The passion translation puts John 10.10 this way:
A thief has only one thing in mind-he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect-life in its fullness until you overflow.
One area where the devil has really deceived people and robbed them of the life God wants them to live is making them doubt God’s willingness to prosper them. Satan has succeeded through religion in dressing poverty and deprivation up so that it looks pious and godly to be poor. He has deceived many into thinking that spirituality and poverty go together. If Satan can deceive you into having this mindset, he will steal from you the power to prosper, leaving you with a life where you go with your needs unmet.
God’s wants His power to work for you, causing your needs to be supernaturally met. He wants you to tap into His wisdom so that you can live effectively every day of your life.
Proverbs 8.15-18
15 By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth.
17 I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.
18 Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness
God is not against anybody being rich. What He is against is when people get rich at the expense of His honour and their own honour. When we tap into God’s wisdom, we can have riches and honour. In other words prosperity that comes from putting God and His word first place in life. When you prosper in this way you will not prosper at anybody’s expense. God is against people throwing all their life into the search for wealth until they destroy their reputation, valuable relationships and even their own lives in the process.
This is why the first thing to do in releasing God’s power to prosper in your life is to learn to put the word of God first place above anything else. This is what Jesus meant in Matthew 6.31-33
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Make the personal commitment today to put God’s word first place in your life and the Holy Spirit will step in and begin to guide you into the truth concerning the prosperity of God. John 16.13
13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
